An excellent children's story about a schizophrenic man and how he dealt with mental illness symptoms when he was a hero, one day at his job.
EXCERPT:
Afterward, he went back to work, bringing the rest of the shopping carts on the mule into the store. Soon, his work shift was over, and he clocked out and went home.Later that night, Rich realized that people could learn more about people with mental illness if he wrote and published a story about what had happened that evening. He sat right down and took detailed notes before going to bed that night. (Many years later, he wrote that story.)
Skillfully written by writer, Richard Carlson, who wrote the story about his schizophrenia.
Beautifully illustrated by artist, Suzanne Carlson (the author's sister).
